On TRUST

It has been a month since I wrote something I’ve really thought of. Well, this one came out randomly while I was listening to my iPod on shuffle. I guess, once in a while I should think of one of my life’s novel issues: TRUST.

What is TRUST?

Aside from the 5 letters T-R-U-S-T, it’s basically a word of thought that could modify, alter, or reinvent your self. Sometimes, ‘trust’ is an angel...a devil...or a little bit of both that makes life slightly discomfited.

Why do we TRUST?

I guess we trust others because we don’t trust ourselves. Or we trust, because we are willing to share a part of ourselves with special people. But trust must be collaborative, mutual, and two-way.

Why don’t we TRUST?

Maybe we’re afraid to not be trusted back. Or we’re afraid of taking risks...too afraid to let ourselves GROW.

Answering the questions above made me generalized something about my self. To sum up my dispersed opinions:

1)     Sometimes I don’t trust a person because I have doubts trusting my self.
2)     I don’t trust because I think the person doesn’t deserve the time and the truth. (MEAN)
3)     I trust because I value the person, and I’m willing to take the chances for them.

How about you? Why do you trust someone else if you can already trust yourself? :>
