New eyeglasses and Avoided rant in the First day of 2011

(pictures taken using WEBCAM. New Year vanity!!!)

Today, I got my new pair of eyeglasses. I was diagnosed that my Asigmatism wasn't corrected by my previous specs.  And it got worse, too late to be fully corrected. Oh dear!

I've been wearing eyeglasses since 5th grade (but not actually wearing them). I remembered my first specs was blue Tweety bird eyeglasses (TOO GAY). At first, I was excited to wear glasses but I got sick of it. It was bothering, and nerdy. I stopped using my glasses when I reached 6th grade. In first year high school, I refused to use glasses. I intentionally ignored my growing Astigmatism and sight deterioration. In second year high school, I was forced to use eyeglasses by my Mom. The idea of wearing glasses almost killed me before it was actually imposed. I got a Nike eyeglasses with increased grade. I seldom used that glasses, just for reading and playing virtual games. I lost my Nike specs. I left it in a dressing room in SM Pampanga. :|| "Sayang! maganda pa naman yon."

In 4th year high school, I finally decided and agreed to correct my ill-vision. I got my Guess Zebra print eyeglasses (so far the most expensive). For me, it's not practical to buy expensive eyeglasses when you don't really USE it. I only used it for a short period of time since my grade abruptly ascended. I still used it from time to time, but it's not helping me. I used it for showing-off purposes and reading only. I decided not to wear glasses again and I just use the prescribed eye-drops to cure my ill-vision. I experienced frequent serious headaches and migraines so I decided to get a new specs once again. I bought a Dakota Smith Fury eyeglasses (made in Italy). So far, this is my favorite. It's not that expensive like my previous eyeglasses. I think I should set aside my pride to help my self.

There's MORE!!! I received free eyeglasses and a calendar for buying. The default grade is good for mid-adults so I decided to give it to our houekeeper.

_______BREAK________

There was no driver available in this day. I decided not to drive because I would be outside of our town and I still have no Non-professional license. I tried local transportation this time.On my way home after my refraction, I rode in a tricycle when I arrived at Robinsons, Pulilan. It's not so far from our home. The average ride fee is 30 pesos to our house from the Robinsons. I  asked the driver to give me 10 pesos for I'd pay 40 pesos. He lied and triked me. He said that there was no "barya" so I should give him 40 pesos. I didn't believe him and still I insisted to give me the change. He had another excuse. He said that it's already 30 pesos to the "bayan" and our house is farther. To avoid pressure and irritation, I just gave the 10 pesos to him. He should have been honest...if he did, I should've given him the 10 pesos without him asking/ tricking me to give it.
