Reunion Philosophy

We had our  reunion this January 5, 2011. SPVM batch 09 is/was known for having distant ties and in-clique bonding. We are not the closest SPVM batch in CdSP, and even considered as remote and slightly detached from the school. But you know, we might be "that" but we ARE NOT.

I predicted that after graduation, we'll all go in separate ways (hypothesis 1). Well, that was true but not enough to be generalized. I also predicted that after our last year in High school, we'll never be like the other great batches in CdSP that would exert effort to be united (hypothesis 2). I may stated two hypothesis that have a strong possiblility to be most likely TRUE...but both hypothesis were contradicted by JUST ONE NIGHT.

We never had a batch reunion in 2 years. Other SPVM batches already celebrated a dozen after they graduated. It's not the same for us. Of course, it's happy to see other batches reunited but there's a part of you that you would want that too, and you feel sad about it. FINALLY! we had our very FIRST reunion after 2 years in college. At first, I got a bad feeling about the idea and my classmates would act like High school students again, not cooperating and passive...you know, HIGH SCHOOL.

I couldn't believe that we had a successful night at Shakey's Espanya, Manila last January 5, 2011. It was full of drama, suspense, action that night. We had so much fun, laughter, disasters, a little much of EVERYTHING. The reunion was successful, indeed. More than half of our batch attended and everyone cooperated. I hope we would have more reunions! Kudos SPVM 2009!

Conclusion: We were distant, we were passive...we "were", but we "are not." Our batch started with friendship, disturbed by problems, shattered by lies, fragmented by distance, reunited---and will END with LOVE.

Soar High!
