Years ago, I
still believed in old adages like “blood is thicker than water” and “food is
greater than friendship.” Upon realizing that I had lost so much flexibility in
my logic, I have decided to test the second proposition. As the 29th
of May ended, I got my result (wait until the end of this blog post).
FOOD versus
FRIENSHIP
Possible
results:
Food >
Friendship
Food <
Friendship
Food =
Friendship
Food ≠ Friendship
May 29, 2012 :
Fourth year enrollment day! woohoo! finally, official 4th year
student represent!!! The feeling of being an official 4th year regular student
is like a THIS IS SPARTAAAAAAAAAAAA moment!!!
The angst,
pride, glory, and perfect swag were all downloaded in my system as my
registration form was printed =)) And now, I can strike a pose LIKE A BOSS =))
I was supposed
to go home to Bulacan with my brother to celebrate my mom’s birthday, together
with all the important people in my life. Unfortunately, my enrollment took
awhile so I failed to go home :|
This was
supposed to be a very special day...so many things to celebrate...and I miss my
family already. But boo :|
After my
enrollment, I went back to our unit to...REST. I was totally bangag :| I
couldn’t sleep because I had so many things in my mind :| Basically, I spent
the afternoon playing jetpack joyride, and I made “muni-muni.” Forever alone
moment indeed
My friend, Ikee
Gonzales, said that I should get up and don’t waste a
supposed-to-be-special-day. She texted me that we should pig-out somewhere so I
wouldn’t be confined all alone in my bat cave =)) As she arrived in our unit,
she asked me to prepare my things...and so many “utos” followed.
patayin mo
ang aircon.
kunin mo
lahat ng gamit mong iuuwi sa Bulacan.
Yung susi.
Yung ilaw.
Check mo
kung sarado na yung pinto.
Bilis,
kakain tayo ng marami at sabay kitang uuwi sa Bulacan.
There! She took
me to Il Terrazzo to pig-out! back to back foodtrip even though I looked like one
zombified walking shit =))
We were
supposed to eat dinner at Bannaple but we decided to go food-hopping instead!
First, we ate
dinner at BonChon! My FAVORITE!!!
I ordered a
meal good for two, just for myself.
Medium Combo A
soy-garlic chicken and 2 extra rice =)) I forgot what Ikee ordered, but I paid
for her meal :| =))
Steamy rice.
refreshing lemon iced tea. soy garlic chicken served with love <3
PERFECT DINNER
!!!
After BonChon,
we went to the grocery store to buy Ikee’s stuffs for her internship and some
NERDS for me =))
We walked
around the place eyeing for potential restaurants for our next food trip!
Join the
bandwagon of Soy garlic chicken lovers!
The best sweet
and crispy chicken ever cooked!
Take your loved
ones to BonChon already! :”>

We went to
Bannaple after walking around Il Terrazo. Ikee ordered some cake for our
dessert. I didn’t feel like eating again :| Overeating for dinner’s a traumatic
experience for me =))
But oh well, I
ate some Bannoffee pie with Ikee.
I would really
like to do some foodporn or foodtography with the Bannoffee pie but Ikee ate
the cake, before I had the chance to take a better photo of it :|
Well actually,
Bannoffee pie’s a nice pick in Bannapple!
Banana
slices fixed on top of a sweet crisp, embraced by luscious caramel syrup, a
thick layer of creamy buttermilk sprinkled with chocolate...such a perfect cake of dessert! <3

It was almost
midnight when I arrived in our house in Bulacan. Thanks to Ikee for making my
supposed-to-be-special day, even more special!
Sometimes,
pigging-out all the loneliness in you makes up a pretty healthy heart!
Food trippin’
is so therapeutic!!! =))
And for the
result I was talking about earlier in this post:
Food ≠ Friendship
I’m not saying
that “food is not greater than friendship” or “friendship is greater than
food.”
Well I guess,
food and friendship (both enjoyed at the same time)—one of life’s greatest
features! ;)
Good friends
enjoy good food together! >:D
I can’t wait for our
next food trip experience! I hope that Janina Mercado and Michelle Santos could
join us!
